The Grand Paris

In January 2008, the Government launched the first phase of THE GREAT CHALLENGE mission. A marathon call for ideas would take place over one year to propose not only a new vision of the evolution of the Paris in the fifty years to come but also to attempt to give answers to the large spectrum of problematics regarding urbanism in the present times and also in the future (networks, mobility, sustainable development, cultural identity, limitations on urban growth, …).

Elioth was thus given the opportunity to enter into this great adventure alongside the team of the internationally renowned French architect, Jean-Nouvel, and to propose its creative approach of its ecological vision of the Greater Paris.

The study that Elioth proposed gave a global and exhaustive description of environmental solutions which would reinforce each and every one of the nine scenarios developed by the Jean Nouvel team.
