The issue of improving the energy quality of existing housing stands on two pillars. The issue of isolation is clearly a major issue but the air as a source of energy losses and as a potential energy and comfort is often not addressed. We define the device PACOAX draft a response by a process of double-flow ventilation which could contribute to both energy efficiency and comfort with good economic performance, subject to the completion of a “product standard” adapted to the dimensions the most characteristic buildings targeted. This solution has the advantage of being easily coupled to a photovoltaic production and become renewable concept for social housing.
