Parc des Expositions Station, Villepinte

Contracting authority : Société du Grand Paris
Architects : Dietmar Feichtinger
Location: Villepinte
Company : NGE / Cimolai
Phases : Execution : 2021-2024

The new Parc des Expositions station in Villepinte is one of the stations on the future Line 17 of the Grand Paris network. It is designed as a series of steel arches supporting an ETFE roof. The intermediate levels of the station are built using mixed steel–concrete structures and reinforced concrete, and a footbridge connects the station to the outside.

Elioth developed the verification calculation model for the execution phase and ensured result convergence with the contractor. The modelling includes, among other parameters, the short- and long-term stiffness of the foundations and material properties that vary with loading duration.

The viaduct carrying the tracks and trains runs directly through the station, requiring the aerodynamic effects of passing trains to be taken into account. The studies also included the dynamic analysis of the footbridges and the design of the dampers.
